Government-Subsidised Housing

The project was awarded first prize in an invited competition. The buildings are interpolated into the forest as an urban-design response to the city's edge. Each building's footprint follows mathematically interpolated site contours causing the least disturbance to top soil and trees. The buildings are lifted off the ground, which allows the ground to flow freely underneath and between buildings. By placing the buildings perpendicular to the city's edge, every condominium will have views of the city, the forest and the Adriatic Sea.
